Every year due to forest fire crores of rupees are destroyed by water and the environment is also polluted. Forest fire can be caused by many natural reasons, according to the study, many major fires in India mainly start from human activities. At present, the incidents of forest fire are continuously increasing all over the world, especially in Brazil and Australia, for which climate change can be considered responsible.
The timber of forest fire also gets burnt which becomes the factor of economic loss. Tribal families and communities depend on forests and their social and economic condition is affected by forest fires. Livelihood of people in about 1.70 lakh villages in India is dependent on fuel bamboo, fodder and small wood. The smoke and various types of toxic gases arising from the forest fire have a bad effect on the health of humans and all living beings. According to scientists, the gases coming out of this fire, whose effect remains in the atmosphere for 3 years, can cause fatal diseases like cancer. Thus it causes environmental pollution.
Sri ganga sewa samiti has been conducting public awareness programs through Gram Sabhas, communities and schools to protect forests from fire. This House has been providing training to the people from time to time on the reason of fire and how to extinguish it in case of fire and has also been running tree plantation program every year.

At our NGO we have a team of volunteers who conduct different campaigns to make people aware of the importance of the environment & forest. Through plantation the problems of global warming air pollution, and climate change can be decreased to a great extent.
